About the Role
The senior resident in obstetrics & gynecology will be involved in comprehensive women’s healthcare services, covering both gynecology and obstetrics. The role includes managing outpatient and inpatient cases, assisting in deliveries and surgical procedures, and providing preconception, antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care. The position requires strong clinical judgment, patient communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care in obstetrics and gynecology, including OPD and IPD services
- Assist and manage normal and high-risk pregnancies, labor, and deliveries
- Perform gynecological evaluations and initial diagnostics
- Recommend appropriate treatment plans and follow-up care
- Clearly explain diagnoses, procedures, and treatment options to patients
- Assist in emergency obstetric and gynecological cases
- Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital protocols
- Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing staff, and support teams
