Medical Job: Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Physician, RN, or LPN: Graduate of a recognized healthcare program
  • EMT-Basic / Intermediate / Advanced / Paramedic: Valid certification or license (as permitted by state law)
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred in hospital, field care, or plasma center settings
  • Licensure: Current, valid state license or certification
  • Certifications: CPR certification (current), state authorization to perform moderate complexity testing.
  • Availability: Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays

About the Role

The Medical Professional (EMT-Basic) is responsible for evaluating donor eligibility for automated plasmapheresis procedures while ensuring donor safety, regulatory compliance, and high-quality clinical operations. The role includes administering approved immunizations, monitoring donor reactions, providing limited emergency care, and supporting quality and training initiatives within the donor center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct donor eligibility evaluations through medical history reviews and physical assessments
  • Obtain informed consent in compliance with SOPs, FDA, CLIA, and cGMP standards
  • Review and document donor records, immunization data, and test results using NexLynk
  • Monitor donors for adverse reactions and provide appropriate care within the scope of practice
  • Consult with the Licensed Physician regarding abnormal findings and donor eligibility issues
  • Counsel deferred donors and ensured confidentiality and proper referrals
  • Maintain accurate medical and quality documentation
  • Support SOP compliance, quality systems, and regulatory audits
  • Train as a Donor Center Technician I and act as QA Backup when required
  • Mentor and train new medical professionals as a designated trainer.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a donor-focused environment
