Job Description:
The Medical Science Liaison job is accountable to initiate, develop and deliver medical and scientific input and activities for one or more products in the assigned Therapeutic Area. The role ensures medical insights are obtained for the product and includes execution of an overall medical strategy and tactics in alignment with regional and global Therapeutic Area objectives. The Medical Science Liaison engages with Key External Experts and works closely with internal stakeholders, including brand teams, to achieve business objectives. This is a field-based position requiring travel within territories covered in India, making it one of the most dynamic MBBS jobs in Bangalore within Medical Affairs.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Medical Degree
- Minimum 1 year experience in Medical Affairs function in oncology.
- Strong scientific analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strategic capabilities, project management, planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate in a matrix environment.
- Knowledge of industry laws and regulations.
- Fluent in written and verbal business English.
- Outstanding interpersonal and networking skills.
Preferred:
- Local experience in India.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Medical Affairs Strategy & Tactics
- Coordinate timely medical input into the Core Medical Plan (CMP).
- Update CMP tracker and execute within timelines and budget.
- Execute internal and external scientific product presentations.
- Participate in or lead advisory boards to gain insights.
- Provide medical input to commercial activities including: Strategic business plans, Promotional and scientific materials & Product training for marketing and sales teams
- Provide external medical and Therapeutic Area perspective to cross-functional stakeholders.
2. Insights Generation
- Act as a specialist and provide detailed medical knowledge through external collaboration.
- Develop medical communication plans aligned with Therapeutic Area and product strategy.
- Attend relevant conferences in the territory and gather insights related to Therapeutic Area and product.
3. Clinical Research / Investigator Sponsored Research
- Evaluate research concepts and protocols from HCPs for Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR).
- Assess medical and scientific merit and appropriate design.
- Support the Regional Clinical Operations team in delivering regional and global trials when needed.
4. Internal & External Relationships
- Develop and maintain relationships with Key External Experts (KEEs), healthcare professionals, government authorities, and funding bodies.
- Engage and communicate product value in compliance with company values and local regulations.
- Produce monthly reports for the regional medical affairs team.
- Represent the affiliate at internal Medical Affairs Asia Oceania events.
- Assist Medical Lead in planning and executing scientific activities.
5. Learning & Development
- Develop expertise in assigned therapeutic areas through self-study and company training.
- Identify medical training needs and provide relevant product training to employees, including sales teams.
