Job Description:
The Principal Medical Writer will take a leading role in the development of high-quality and strategic peer-reviewed publications that align with clients’ scientific and business strategies. This position requires ensuring the strategic alignment, accuracy, credibility, and quality of various written materials, including manuscripts, literature reviews, abstracts, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently develop innovative and creative narratives for client medical communication needs.
- Interpret complex scientific and medical data for different audiences.
- Synthesise, prioritise, and visualise data effectively when developing medical communication assets.
- Apply critical analysis with strong attention to detail and good proofreading skills.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to determine project outlines.
- Ensure all author and stakeholder feedback is accurately incorporated.
- Prepare materials for legal and regulatory review as necessary.
- Actively participate in internal and external meetings representing the organisation.
Eligibility Criteria for the Remote Medical Writer Job:
- PhD, MD, PharmD, MBBS, or other advanced professional degree in the health sciences.
- 4 to 6 years of professional medical communications experience.
- Knowledge of good publication practice guidelines; ISMPP CMPP certification a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software and medical literature databases.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Strong written and verbal fluency in English.
