TMC Careers—Essential Qualifications & Experience

Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:

1. Diploma Route

  • DMLT / Diploma in Transfusion Medicine / Blood Bank Technology after 10+2
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in testing blood and/or components in a licensed blood center.

2. Degree Route

  • B.Sc. MLT or Degree in Blood Bank Technology
  • Experience: Minimum 6 months in a licensed blood center.
  • B.Sc. in Hematology & Transfusion Medicine
  • Experience: Minimum 6 months in blood/component testing.

3. Postgraduate Route

  • M.Sc. in Transfusion Medicine, OR P.G.D. in MLT
  • Experience: Minimum 6 months in blood/component testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct testing of blood and blood components in compliance with licensing regulations.
  • Maintain accuracy, documentation, and quality control within the Transfusion Medicine department.
  • Support daily operations of the blood centre including sample processing.
  • Work in rotational shifts including nights, Sundays, and holidays.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory, equipment, and adherence to SOPs.
