Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in a healthcare discipline (MD).
- 3–5 years of experience in scientific or medical writing within pharma, biotech, CRO, or academia.
- Strong ability to interpret complex data and write clear, concise scientific content.
- Experience working in matrix, multicultural, and fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
Desirable:
- Advanced scientific degree.
- Experience in assigned therapeutic areas.
- ISMPP-CMPP® certification.

About the Role
As the Senior Scientific Writer, you will support the development of core scientific assets, including literature reviews, abstracts, posters, slide decks, and manuscripts for publication or congress presentation. The role involves working with diverse data sources—clinical study reports, patient profiles, internal databases—and ensuring all scientific content adheres to Novartis style, regulatory guidelines, timelines, and quality expectations. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, effective project management, and strict compliance with SOPs, documentation standards, and audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop literature reviews, abstracts, posters, slide sets, and manuscripts aligned with clinical and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare scientific content using diverse data sources, including clinical study reports and patient datasets.
- Deliver publications on schedule to support customer awareness, regulatory needs, and internal communication.
- Perform quality control checks, proofreading, and accuracy review as per Novartis standards.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring compliance with templates, Novstyle, and SOPs.
- Track clinical trial milestones, maintain documentation, and ensure proper archiving.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Support audit readiness, SOP compliance, and training documentation.
