About the Science Communication Job:
The Assistant Editor is responsible for managing manuscripts throughout the editorial lifecycle, from submission to final decision. This role serves as a key liaison between authors, reviewers, and internal editorial teams, ensuring a fair, efficient, and high‑quality peer‑review process. The Assistant Editor applies scientific expertise and editorial judgment to support the integrity, impact, and growth of Wiley’s journal portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Screen new manuscript submissions for scope, scientific quality, originality, and research integrity
- Make initial editorial decisions and provide clear, constructive decision rationales in line with journal policies in the Hybrid Science Communication Job.
- Identify and escalate potential ethical or integrity concerns using established procedures
