Main Duties of the Job
The post holder will work across all areas of anaesthesia, including obstetric anaesthesia and critical care, and as such must have basic competencies in all three areas. They will have responsibility for acute and emergency care.
We can provide areas of additional interest and support doctors with exams, QI projects, teaching opportunities and are proud of our record in supporting doctors into training posts.
The posts are initially for a fixed-term contract of 6โ12 months but could be extended if mutually agreeable. The posts are designed to be full-time, but applicants wishing to work less than full-time will be considered. A 40-hour week job plan (with pro-rata basic salary) is also available.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
Providing anaesthetic and critical care across a range of specialties in our diverse district general hospital. You will work a rota with out-of-hours commitment either 1 in 8 or 1 in 10 with support from a non-resident consultant. You will be expected to supervise more junior members of staff within the department. Please see the attached job description and person specification for more information.
