About the Role
Change Grow Live (CGL) is a dedicated charity committed to helping individuals overcome substance misuse through evidence-based care. We are hiring a Specialty Doctor to provide comprehensive clinical assessment and treatment in Liverpool, Merseyside.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical assessments, including psychiatric and physical evaluations for substance misuse.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and update digital records.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social services, and addiction support organizations. - Initiate and manage specialist prescribing for drug and alcohol-dependent patients.
Assist in phlebotomy tests and ensure service users receive BBV testing and Hepatitis A/B vaccinations. - Support the nursing team in patient treatment titration.
- Attend multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to integrated care pathways.
- Medical Degree and completion of Basic Medical Training andย Full GMC UK Registration with License to Practice
- Experience in deliveringย evidenceย basedย treatments in Substance Misuse
- Good knowledge of addiction psychiatry and legislation relating to Mental Health
- Demonstrable evidence of effective communication skills
- Knowledge of the issues facing substance misusers includingย appropriate medicalย interventions, socialย care,ย and health issues
- Show aย capacityย to work alone and the ability to keep calm underย pressure.
- Proven ability to liaise andย maintainย a professional relationship with a diverse range ofย people.
